Any goat experts ??
«

I am now the proud owner of two neat little Norwegian pigmy goats, cool little things, both female, will they get along with my chickens? They are to big to keep in the garage anymore and I haven't got them their own house built and they seem to like the chicken coup and yard and it's big, it has stumps, vine maples, ferns, blackberries and Oregon grapes and all kinds of bushes in there, will they be good in there or will they terrorize the chickens?

I doubt there will be a problem. We had boer goats and chickens together and they did just fine. Just make sure they are fenced in good because they are great at escaping.

Excellent!! Thanks guys, yeah they won't escaping this set up, the chickens can't even fly out of it, I had to make it bobcat and coyote proof, well I hope I did as my daughter would not be happy with me if I let something happen to her little goats!! They follow me everywhere, if I am mowing the lawn they follow right behind or go stand on the porch and watch. They knocked the hell out of my wife's *censored*zu, it was pretty funny. They make a fella laugh to. They like to try and get in the house so I can't leave the doors open now

They should be just fine. I have 8 boer goats and they are around turkeys and chickens all the time with no issues. You are right, goats are fun animals and they all have their own unique personality's.

I agree they will be fine, we have mini lamancha's and they do fine with the chicken's, however any and all bushes and tree's will be eaten by the goats eventually. Including the bark...

Are they African Pygmys or are they Nigerian dwarfs? Pygmys usually stay short and fat and only a few colors while the Nigerians are usually leaner(dairy breed) and come in a multitude of colors =]
Chickens and them should be fine. I just wouldn't let them ingest too much corn. Corn isn't bad per say, but it's far from good lol.

Careful with the chicken food, like corn, those little rumens will not take much of that
