Monster Bainbridge Blacktail
« on: June 19, 2016, 12:24:24 PM »
Saw this today at the local sportsman warehouse. Anyone know about this or who shot it? It doesn't even look like a blacktail.

I'll bet there's a lot of big bucks like that on Bainbridge.

Looks like a blacktail to me. I've heard good things about island bucks....

Almost (not quite) got permission to hunt a raspberry farm owned by my friend's family a couple of years ago. They have "problem" deer but apparently I wasn't the only one offering a solution.

Drive around during the rut. There are book class blacktails all over that island. Problem is its all private land and most of the locals are tree huggers. They kill about half dozen really good bucks every year, with there cars. Add in another 20-30 assorted deer and it can be a dangerous place to drive.

Most deer stories I've heard have been about Vashon. And yah I can understand them being tree huggers. There's alot of very wealthy people there. My only problem with this picture is that the deers right antler looks so much like a whitetail.

It is the "tech people" who are the worst on most of the islands.  They are not only not open to hunting they are nasty and rotten neighbors and cause problems for long time locals who grant hunting access.  I have been hunting the islands for a long time and these tech people are like a damnable plague when they show up.
