Idaho steelhead guide?
« on: June 06, 2016, 11:10:39 PM »
Looking to book a trip this fall for a Father's Day present. Looking at fishing the snake, salmon, Clearwater or really anywhere over there. Thinking about a jet trip but not past a drift boat. Any one have any recommendations? Some time this fall.

Hey UBA, I would get in touch with Hells Canyon Sport Fishing. Phone# 208-791-0344. Jason, the owner, has a great crew, his guides are all top notch, my favorite is Doug Richert. Their boats and gear are first class. You will have a day to remember in some beautiful country. Tight lines, fishingfool

My cousin would take you for virtually nothing on the Clearwater in Orofino. He's the guy who caught the 28 pound trout

Thanks for the replies guys! That is one huge trout. Going to have a sit down with my brother and try to figure it all out.

Anyone have a favorite river over there and why? Looking for a scenic trip with a few fish

Toby Wyatt of Reel Time or Jason Schultz of Hells Canyon Sportsfishing are some of the best on the river.

Hey UBA, I think the Clearwater would be your best choice for a scenic trip and most likely some good fishing. Good luck, don't forget your camera! ff

I second Jason and the boys at hell canyon sports fishing . If you want scenic I would have them run you up the snake from heller bar towards Pittsburg landing . The fish won't be as big as the Clearwater but should catch twice as many and there's no roads in that area the hwy runs along the Clearwater the whole way.

Haha ya dude it was and they wouldn't recognize it because there was only one witness and there has to be two witnesses. Also scales need to be certified and calibrated like every month even though they had their scale checked afterwards and everything. Who has all that crap ready all the time
