Looking to join a Hunting Party...
« on: February 02, 2009, 09:21:32 PM »
I moved to WA over 1 year ago and would like to do some Elk and Deer hunting but I do not know the good spots as of yet. I have a 4x4 truck and all the gear needed to go just looking to join a hunting party and find some people to hunt with. I'm 27yr old male who lives in Seattle I've been hunting back in my home state of Wisconsin since I was 12 years old so I know what I'm doing nobody has to babysit me I'm an experienced hunter.  :)

Im thinkin the same thing. I have never Deer hunted or Elk hunted, just waterfowl and other birds. I would be stoked to have a group that would be willing to show a newbie the ropes. I also have the gear, trailer, gun, and good ethics.

You might want to specify what weapon you want to hunt with since this is a choose your weapon state. And maybe what side of the state you prefer for hunting elk. You have to either hunt the west or eastside.

Lots of good people here...if you're willing to pull your weight (sounds like you are) you should find someone to partner up with.  Also, you might want to consider offering a whitetail hunt back in Wisconsin in exchange, if that is doable.  Just a thought...

If you need help on how to go about finding huntable land, how to deal with timber company land, tactics for the wide variety of game out here, I'm happy to help.

Welcome to the site. Jump right in and participate in the dicussions, by the time elk season comes around you will have plenty of friends to hook up with or you will have burned a lot of bridges, time will tell

I'm just a modern rifle hunter myself, I was looking at the westside but would not rule out a eastside hunt if it was a good area. Any help would be great THANKS!

I've been hunting the west and north olympic peninsula for several years now, if anyone is interested in a team up or even just trading notes, let me know.
