Hate to basically say whats been said, but I'm looking for the same. I'm mostly interested in deer and elk, varmints or whatever. I've got most of the necessary equipment. I usually hunt with a .45-70 or a .30-30 and am used to shorter shots in Maine. I'm considering getting some sort of longer range rifle eventually. I have a fairly nice hunting rig as well. I'd like to take a regionally relevant hunters safety course as well, I have the basic NRA one under my belt. I'm still a bit of a newbie. Feel free to pester me. =)

Please post pics of your pack frames  ;)
As long as we have the habitat, we can argue forever about who gets to kill what and when.  No habitat = no game.

I'm in the same boat.
27 year old with strong back looking to learn the ropes in elk hunting. Been bowhunting deer for 14 years but would like to try my hand at elk. Willing to put miles on my boots. Have packboard and sense of humor. Currently serving in Iraq but will be back home this summer. September is a busy month but willing to hunt east or west with bow or rifle.

I'm the same...Been hunting solo for 6 years now. I live in Seattle 34 yrs old and usually hunt the archery deer/elk season. I scout a lot and love getting out. We all seem to be looking for pards here. Lets figure out a way to hook up some how. I like "hunting" alone, but it's cool to share a camp with some good folks ya know??

If you folks are serious about possibly hooking up with one another for the season, I would step it up and plan some scouting trips together now, to provide enough quality time together to get to know one another. Don't wait.

Scouting trips are an awesome time to get to know each other. The stakes of the day are lower, so things are more low key and you can figure out whether you really like this person.

I Live in the Seattle area and usually scout the West side. After the 4th if anyone os interested, just shoot me a PM and lets role............

:hello: Welcome to the site Michael. Sorry to hear about your hunting partner, a good hunting buddy is hard to come by but you shouldn't have a hard time finding someone to tag along with on this site :hello:
