We made it up Saturday for a short 6 mile trip. I wish we went Sunday because the clouds hugged the mountain side and visibility was poor at best. We still saw 30+ goats.

The trail in was slick and steep in spots.

I got to meet Graysage on the mountain Saturday. Heck of a nice guy.

Saturday was a perfect day to be up there. Saw some animals but the big billies seem to be really high or really low. Either way I haven't gotten close enough to judge any of them.

I'm sure this will be a memorable 70th for both of you.

Thanks X-Force!
Yes meeting X-Force was a highlight of the day for me, he's a great guy.
It was a very nice day up there, almost to nice. I about ran out of water before I got out.
Nice to be able to see some goats!

My dad and little brother made it back into the unit Saturday to check things out. They saw goats basically everywhere they went. Unfortunately, with the busy weekend traffic it was out, look around, glass, then back to the truck just as the parking lot was really filling up.

Beautiful pics. Will make a nice backdrop for the picture of your dad and his goat.

tagging along great stuff so far.
"When my bow falls, so shall the world. When me heart ceases to pump blood to my body, it will all come crashing down. As a hunter, we are bound by duty, nay, bound by our very soul to this world. When a hunter dies we feel it, we sense it, and the world trembles with sorrow. When I die, so shall the world, from the shock of loosing such a great part of ones soul." Ezekiel, Okeanos Hunter
