Muzzle Loader Grand Slam Season
« on: August 15, 2016, 09:58:45 AM »
Its been a couple years since being on this site, and after the divorce... Family healing, its nice to be back.
We (our Colockum hunting group) drew 11, yes eleven tags for this muzzy season! I drew a cow and YES, one of the nine Quality Bull Tags.  After forty years hunting modern on the mountain we switched to muzzle loader two years ago and boy are we glad we did.
Anyway, maybe a little bragging but it feels good. So Lee, Elliot, Ethan, Evan, Dick, Tony, Ray-Ray, Steven and Billy this is going to be one GREAT season. Love you my brothers.
Everyone on this forum, good luck this up coming season.
God is good!

Congratulations.  I am a bowhunter and would love have a tag for that unit.  I do think the muzzy season is better and chances of getting the bull of a lifetime would be greater with a muzzleloader.  Congratulations to your group and best of luck specifically to you.  There are some absolute mashers up there.
Pain is temporary, achieving the goal is worth it.

I didn't say it would be easy, I said it would be worth it.

Colockum is where I shot the first elk my family ever got (42 years ago).  After that, dad and I got several out of there over the years.

Good hunt!
