So what bullet do you guys use for elk?

Lehigh Defense - .458x305 gr. built for the 45-70 Government Rifle

Keep shooting muzzleloaders - They are a blast!!

Well that's great I didn't think I needed to say muzzleloader bullets in the muzzleloader forum.
LOL..Well in that case I have had great luck with the Barnes 290gr TEZ.

I used 2 Barnes TEZ  290 grain copper bullets to kill my 4x6 bull last year. The bullets performed exactly as they are advertized. The first one dropped him. He didn't get back up.  That's what I will shoot again.

Haha I was JK because a lot of people are pretty passionate on choice of bullets and stuff and you asked if it made a difference. I think it makes a difference myself but I wouldn't have as much experience as someone like sabot loader with muzzy bullets!

I shoot the Barnes 290 TMZ.  My elk just rolled over, dead, when I shot it.  These are a little tight in some rifles

I shoot both each year in a couple different smoke poles. Both will be fine choice on elk. The tmz do load hard but tend to shoot a little better in my 4 guns.

TEZ uses a slightly smaller diameter sabot, so they load easy. (EZ)
