Sorry for the poor photo quality....  I took these with the iPad through the living room window. I have seen lots of nice blacktails over the years but never any this big at the end of May.

This is a different deer.... Any guess why he ran away seconds after I took the photo?

By the time he is hard horned, you'll never see him ever again.  Suckers.

My uncle, every year will have a couple big boys on his property all summer long. Almost eating apples out of your hand.  By the end of September they're well gone. We won't see them during hunting season, or ever again as far as we know. Not a ton of hunting pressure either. Smart deer. There's a reason they get big, and stay big.
