Would like to live a dream!
« on: February 03, 2009, 09:58:58 AM »
I have always dreamed on taking my son on an Elk hunt out west. In the late 80's I hunted in Evanston,WY. area but landowner died and family sold off. I have shot alot of nice mule deer out there but never an elk. Since then I had a son and he is now 17. I would love to find a good hunt for my son and I. We have 604 acres leased here in Ohio with alot of big whitetails and alot of turkeys. I would be willing to provide a great hunt here for alot of years to come for a landowner and friends in the western states who could provide a memorable hunt for us. I could accomodate 4 hunters a year here in Ohio. We are both in great shape and can hunt the mountains. If you can help my son and I with this dream, I would be greatly appreciative. Either write back at: wilfam220@yahoo.com or call me @ 330-224-8696  Thanks Ken Wilson

If I was you I'd start applying for special permits.  Don't apply here.  Compared to other states the hunting there is much better.  If a quality experience is what you want go to Montana, Wyoming, Colorado or New Mexico.  Those states will provide you a much better opportunity for a quality experience.  Just my  :twocents:.

Nice trade offer...should get a taker or two.  You don't need special permits to get on big bulls in WA.  I know, I know...sure, it helps A LOT.  But there are big bulls around and plenty of *censored*s, espcially if you want to hunt the west side on the coast.  Hard work no matter how you slice it.
