How to find out what timber company owns property.
« on: June 12, 2016, 04:24:55 PM »
I did not buy a Weyerheauser permit this year and trying to figure out where to head. I used to hunt down in the Williams creek area but not sure who owns it now and what kind of permit I would need. Is there a good website that states what timber company owns what?

look on the county GIS website, i believe pacific county has online mapping.  most of the land down there seems to have been  bought by hancock.

They (Rayonire) sell access passes, walk-in, and drive in (leases w/ camping I believe).  The latter is a lot more money.  Better contact them soon.  I think the passes available have a cut off date, after which, they will no longer be available.   I could be wrong on this - I talked to them back in Jan/Feb at the Sportsman's Show, so I'm not positive on this.  If I lived in Rochester, I might have pursued it - much better access than from down here.

Get hunt on x for your gps or phone.  One of those things that everybody should have nowadays.  No reason not to
