One of the many blacktails being completed and headed out the door. Hes not a monster but I wanted to post a pic of this buck....one of the prettiest capes that came through the door by way of blacktails.

Very nice mount and excellent representative of the Blacktail species.

Pose is a 'Semi Sneak w/Slight Right Turn'. The ears back really make the difference in the mount. Most customers don't have a preference about the ears and "leave it up to you" with me...which I love. When the project is almost complete one of the last things I do is set the ears....this gives me the ability to see what looks best based upon the horn configuration and 'look'. You can really narrow down a rack or accentuate it based upon the ear position. The eyes are also a big factor. I opened his eyes up in the front a little for a more focused look which gives him that attitude. The customer said when he found the buck it was chasing a doe pretty hard while trying to keep his attention on another doe and never even paid attention to the hunter. Thank you for the compliments!
