Picked up the Barnes reloading manual 4. Am I missing something? Why is the load data differant on there website for the same bullet and caliber?

Maybe the internet data is more current? I know when I go to the Barnes site it says "New" for the 7mm Rem Mag data.

How do the other powders compare?

My Barnes book has the same data as yours. 52 minimum 58 maximum. Maybe online data is updated :dunno: I have had good luck and experiences calling them about load data which may be a good idea to do.

Sorry about the stupid question. But are you sure you are looking at IMR4831 for both and not H4831 for one?

Are the bullets exactly the same?  Not necessarily the right answer here, but...I thought Barnes made slight modifications to some of the bullet styles.  Example--they did something like made the friction grooves wider, and pressure stayed lower.  There was something else like a way of plating.  I seem to recall some instance where the names were basically the same, but the model number was only like one increment off.

Thinking this is most likely it.
