Heads up on mica peak range
« on: June 20, 2016, 10:16:46 AM »
He lawsuit has been settled and the range will be able to put the targets back up to 1000 yards. They will need to create Berms behind each targets but at least they will be able to get them back. They are supposed to start going up in July.

where is it?  I don't know anyone that's been, so I've not been there and don't know how much it is to shoot.   :dunno:

Belmont road east of mica. Yep still $5 to shoot and open every day 2pm to dark. Tuesday evenings in summer is 22 silhouette night so they close it for that. Occasionally there is other events that close it also.

The $5 range fee goes straight to the rangemaster who is working that day. None actually goes to the range or maintenance.

That and deicer in the winter.  The walk down the range has claimed a few when the path is a sheet of ice.
