For the money they're a good option for a CCW and about on par with the M&P Shield.  I think their profile is slightly slimmer than the Shield but overall they are very comparable and they usually cost a little less.  I've seen the LC9s Pro as low as $308 which makes them a pretty darn good value.

I can't recall if I've shot one but I handled one awhile back and the trigger in the LC9s was much better than the older LC9.  The one I played with actually had a little better trigger than the standard Shield I was comparing it to.

FWIW, of the four I looked at and handled before I purchased one, the best trigger was hands down the M&P Performance Center Shield.  Next was Walther PPS M2, then the Ruger LC9s Pro followed very closely by the standard M&P Shield.

The Ruger was the least expensive of the four and in all honesty, even though it's not what I purchased, was probably the best value.  The new Walther PPS M2 is a much improved version of the PPS and if you are willing to spend another $50-$75 more, I'd give it a good look before I bought any of them.

I'm a little spoiled when it comes to triggers but I don't think you can go wrong with any of them.  Best of luck with your purchase.

Thanks b23!

This is a "didn't need it, buying it anyway" situation. Can you say 'election year'?  :chuckle: Its $330(gun, FFL, Tax)  grand total, new from Ruger so its hard to say no at that price.

Heck, if I had to justify ever purchase based on "need" my safe would have a lot of empty space. :chuckle:

Congrats on the new addition and it sounds like you made a wise purchase.
