Look for a 6.5 lbc. This explains why.http://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2010/03/26/264-lbc-ar-a-grendel-clone/It is mostly because of an attempt to capitalize on the idea by trademarking the cartridge name.

I wonder if the ammo, without having to pay the royalties, is cheaper. It must be.
Everywhere I went they had sold out of the S&W. They were on sale for fathers day. Also the Ruger AR556 was on sale to but also gone where they were on sale. That is where I found the Anderson for sale. So if the OP doesn't mind what does every recommend for optic/sights. I am new to AR's and mine was basic flat top no accessories.

I know its a great gun for both hunting and target shooting but my sports utility rifles are all about the day of reckoning on the zombie apocalypse. EOTech's holographic sight has gotten a lot of bad rap lately but for the number of years I used them in austere, dust filled environments I would take one any day of the week over one of the ACOGs or Aimpoints I was told to replace it with (both of which I also used). Contrary to other claims I found the EOTech to be very durable and I beat the living piss out of it. Very easy to reach out and touch someone at 100 yards, off hand and no rest, and plenty of bright glass and fast reticle aquisition when the hajj jumps out from behind the rock 10 yards to your flank in low light.
You guys do what you want to do, but if you buy at panic prices, I think you're going to regret it. They can't even pass a law to block purchases to terror suspects, a renewal of the AWB is virtually impossible right now.

But there is a huge glut of these on the market already. After Sandy Hook, manufacturers oversold the market for 5 years probably. I would imagine it bankrupted a few of the smaller shops. I want to buy one myself, but I'm going to be patient. You won't be able to give them away in a year.
