If anyone was paying attention there were lots of screeming deals just a few months back. Palmetto state armory was selling bare lowers for $50! & had alloy 30rnd mags on sale for $7 ea!

Its basic supply and demand. It doesnt matter if its fuel, wood or guns if there is a glutten of product prices will be extra low.

You guys do what you want to do, but if you buy at panic prices, I think you're going to regret it. They can't even pass a law to block purchases to terror suspects, a renewal of the AWB is virtually impossible right now.
It sounds to me like its investment before the prices go up... most "deals will be gone for the forseeable future

Sure, paying an extra 50 bucks against the risk of sky high prices tomorrow probably isn't the worst play in the world. But there is a huge glut of these on the market already. After Sandy Hook, manufacturers oversold the market for 5 years probably. I would imagine it bankrupted a few of the smaller shops.

I want to buy one myself, but I'm going to be patient. You won't be able to give them away in a year.
Who knows what the panic will be like in November?  What would demand be like if the Ds get the WH, Senate and House?

They have bigger fish to fry. The political cost of passing another AWB is far too great for the tiny benefits it would bring them. There may be a panic initially, if the D's do sweep the election, but that will die down as well.

I may be wrong, but I doubt it.

I picked up a "blem" lower from them about 6mos ago for 39.99.  They had rifle kits, everything but the lower for $299, for a while there.

Wow never saw that deal.... i considered parking some cash in lowers but i feel the new transfer fees for private sale eats into the profit too much. I had been looking to drop some serious coin on magazines but couldnt quite pull the trigger if the mags had been $6 free shipping i would have bought a 2-3hundred

I did no research on the gun I bought just impulse buy at a cheap price.  Here is the link to the gun I got.  http://www.andersonrifles.com/optic-ready-am15-optic-ready/ Really interesting treatment and cleaning method RF85 treated.

Not the actual result, none of that would happen until sometime in January or later if happened at all.  Just the panic that would start in November.

I thought about buying a bunch of the lowers as well, but I stocked up on ammo instead.  There are a few shops that will give discounts on multiple transfers, but, yes it can eat into the profits pretty good.  The PSA lowers, in my opinion are far better than the other cheap ones.

I can't remember the maker right now (S&W?), but there is an AR-10 lower that will take an adapter to use AR-15 uppers/mags/buffer springs.  So you can switch back and forth.

why are 6.5 grendel barrels so expensive?  :dunno:  I'm in the market and they're $100 more than any other caliber.  I'm about ready to just get a 300 blackout for my daughter to use this year deer hunting and find a grendel barrel later  :dunno:

Have you considered the 6.8 SPC. Way more gun than the 300 BO. More powerful, flatter shooter, etc... In comparison with the 6.5 g, the 6.8 offers maybe 85% of the 6.5 gs performance, but with more bullet selection, and way more factory cartridge offerings.

As for the original question...

When the feds, zombies, Royal City Scum bags (insert bad guy de jour) comes, I want a fighting chance. 30 rounds as fast as you can pull the trigger is way better than 4 shots from a bolt action rifle...

The House will likely stay in Republicant hands as it is designed to benefit our more rural suburban bastions of conservatism. Dishonest Donald, who lied about self financing his campaign, is likely going to drive the Senate into the hands of the Flag Burners. I'd say his only hope of election is a scathing indictment of Billary before November.

I saw cases of magpul pmags a while back and thought real hard about picking up a couple for investment.  Unfortunately, I think the supply has outsold demand on those, too, for now.

But who knows.  We never thought dems were stupid enough to pass obamacare, and they were slaughtered in the polls for their treachery.
