This thread is severely lacking in gun porn.  You are all admonished.

Here are two of my ARs.

Left: Bushmaster factory heavy barrel 5.56 carbine upper on SW M&P lower home build.

Right: AA factory 6.5 grendel carbine upper on YHM multi-cal lower home build.

Everywhere I went they had sold out of the S&W.  They were on sale for fathers day.  Also the Ruger AR556 was on sale to but also gone where they were on sale.  That is where I found the Anderson for sale.  So if the OP doesn't mind what does every recommend for optic/sights.  I am new to AR's and mine was basic flat top no accessories.

How much was the lube less anderson?

$499.00 at Coastal.  Was a fathers day sale.  Normally $699.00

Aero Precision is a Tacoma-based concern. A friend with an FFL is offering me a stripped lower for $70 cash out the door. Anyone with experiences (good or bad) with them?

My AR-10 in the pic above is Aero, upper and lower.  Went together easily and everything fit nicely.  Good finish as well.  $70 is a pretty good price.

Aero gets pretty good reviews for basic AR receivers.
