Disabled Vet needs help finding hunting spots

Hello all,
 I'm a disabled vet with 50% VA for my knee and from Cancer a while back. I have been trying to hunt these areas around JBLM and just cant make it through the rough stuff. Is there anyone that can help me or show me a place to archery (Deer, Elk) hunt that is more manageable for me? I am not looking for charity or anything, just some advice where I can actually still hunt without being laid up afterwards for 3 days with a leg that doesn't work right after the hunt.

Unfortunatly i dont know that area. Here are the only points of wisdom i have to offer.
1 read Byod Iversons " Blacktail trophy tactics 2"
2 buy a comfortable climbing treestand
3 do a lot of scouting. In the feild and on the internet. Trail cammeras

I see lots of blacktail near houses which is perfect for bow hunting. If you havent used a tree stand now is the time to shop for one. My personal favorite is the Summit Viper. Its a climber that is light quiet and comfortable. Ive used about 5 different stands and its my favorite. Should be able to pickup a used one less than 200

Hello Ryan,
   I was an archery hunter and I have learned that you will be hard pressed to find a hunting area in the NW  that you can get  close enough for a shot with a bow without having to push your way through some rough stuff.

I have a problem with going through the rough as well and decided I was going to just hunt with modern firearm.

I wish I could be more positive and I sincerely hope someone out there can tell you of a place.

I would also go the NW Adventure center and ask them, it was located on North Fort. Also try the guys at the Trap & Skeet range I know some are big game hunters.

I want to add to that. There is an archery range/club called Skoochumchuck, probaby spelled that wrong. It is in Puyallup at the top of the hill on Shaw Road, would be on your left. Open to the public and you can usually find someone there on weekends. If anybody is going to be able to hep you that would be the place.

I think Eastside would better for you. Alot more open space and not as thick.

Ya I was thinking the same thing and just going to Goldedale and hunt Mule deer over there. Its more my type of terrain as I'm from Southern Idaho. Thanks again guys

  Good luck this season. Be sure to post if you bag one. I'm sure I you need help getting one out. There is aways good people willing to help. Just post you need help and if some one is close by or lives in the area they will help.

The state has some good access areas for disabled hunters. You may want to check it out. It's under Hunter road access program.
