SlideRidge Nov.1-20 Rifle Permit Advice
« on: June 22, 2016, 08:06:16 PM »
I've hunted the Slideridge unit most of my life but have been locked out of my haunts since the fires. I drew one of the late rifle tags and was wondering if anyone could pm me some advice for this late hunt with most of the unit closed due to fires. I will be doing mostly weekend hunting as it is hard to get time off of work. I don't mind hiking and prefer to hunt the steep cliffy country if that matters. Thanks Brad

Are you sure most of the unit is closed due to the fires?

I'd agree with MtnMuley, I don't think they'd be closed by that time or that they have at all. Jealous of the hunt though!

With the USFS out of their minds in the upper Entiat these days, there definately are some closed areas with the fires over the last couple years. As of now, there's no time frame when they will open. There's a couple guys on here that have been to meetings and Ave kept updated on the status more than I have. Hopefully they will chime in.
