GMU 233/ 239
« on: September 06, 2016, 06:17:14 PM »
I'm looking for some input from fellow hunters on this sight. :hello: My son was drawn for the youth Pogue doe tag (any antlerless). I've never hunted any part of central Washington, so it will all be new to us. Can anyone tell me how the deer population is in that area this year. I know a lot of those areas have been hit hard by fires and the blue tongue. I have  plans of headed over for early deer muzzleloader to just check the area for animals.
If anyone could point me in a general direction to start, it would be greatly appreciated.

Also we where both drawn for second deer tags in GMU239 (whitetail doe only) was hoping to try for the whitetail tag for him after we try and harvest the Pogue 233 deer.
All of the tags are for Oct. 15-25 (general deer season).

I just want him to harvest a deer or two this year. Any advice from the local guys in that area ?
