thanks for the interesting info. have my doubts about the 325 cuz it kix so hard even with a limbsaver and I am not a big guy. am leaning toward the 270 but probably will use the ultra. it has put down 3 one shot moose. thanks again, mike w

They do kick!I wouldnt use the .270. A 30-30 works too but if something happens you will be kicking yourself forever. Not so with your other options.
As said any of those is fine. Elk are tougher than moose, I've taken 2 moose, both went right down...Use a bow!

A 130gr Partition from that .270 will kill anything in the lower 48!
