This is a bobcat.FWIW on topic, some young adult cougars still have small or faint spots on the inside of upper legs long after they are on their own away from the mother. You might notice them on a treed cat but not likely on a called one. Anybody know how the game dept. rules on such animals?

That is no more bobcat than this is a bobcat and yes I have experience w/someone who swore that there was a bobcat in his back yard (short face/bobbed tail/pointy ears/blotchy color) and it turned out the bobcat looked quite like this one:
