Im looking to get a light weight camp lantern for a back pack hunt. Any recommendations? What do you use?

Interesting, never seen one of those before. May have to try that out.
I was looking at some collapsible lanterns too

anyone used those?

I have a streamlight one that works well. Went with the AA version. Decent run time on low, also has a red light option. Avaliable on amazon.

Love these little jewels. If you're packing in a fuel stove (Jetboil), just pack in one more fuel canister and light up your camp. The Micron's burn very nice and will heat up your backpacking tent in an instant (of course, use with proper ventilation so you don't end up doing the kickin chickin on the mountainside).

Doesn't look like they make the model I have anymore but I just have a Fenix diffuser I put on the end of my flashlight. Looks like they have different models now. Costs very little, weighs nothing and adds another use to gear I already am carrying.

Luci Lanterns are not the brightest but put out a fair amount of light. Solar power and flat when compressed are nice features. Great for backpacking, but there are better options for car camping.
And only $15
