NEW: THE PIONEER AIRBOW
« on: June 29, 2016, 04:38:20 PM »

THE PIONEER AIRBOW is an all-new category of big game weapon featuring full length arrows and full weight broadheads, all driven by air. Based on Benjamin’s proven American-made PCP platform, the Pioneer can be cocked with two fingers (and decocked just as easily), fires 8 shots in the same amount of time it takes to fire three from a crossbow, all at a blazing 450 FPS.

The Pioneer enhances everything enthusiasts enjoy about archery hunting while making the sport safer and more accessible.

Arrows from the Pioneer stabilize quickly, giving shooters an expanded kill range for any game animal. Its accuracy is not affected by canting and it does not require the complex maintenance of crossbows.

Pretty neat weapon but I wouldn't want to see them in the woods during archery season.

"The Pioneer enhances everything enthusiasts enjoy about archery hunting"

Pointing and shooting a tacky looking gun is everything they enjoy???

Yea this better not show up during archery season.

Just my personal opinion...  I don't believe that belongs in the allowable big game hunting weapon unless they hunt during the modern firearm or muzzle loader season.

To me archery means bow and arrow. Compound, longbow, recurve, and even crossbows are bows. Science has done it's thing to make them what they are today but I don't see how the "Airbow" comes anywhere near the definition of being a bow. Limited range hunts and around areas where there's more houses I could see it having a place but it will never qualify for a normal archery season.

Sounds pretty quiet.  Would be fun for predators.

I don't see any ethical difference between this and a crossbow. Looks pretty cool to me. Thanks Dale.

If you have $900.00 laying around it may become an investment with very good collector value if the market does not pan out for a huge production.  Typically unique airgun platforms have been a hit or miss (no pun intended) in the market, and these things can go up in value in just a few years after production stops.

In my opinion crossbow rules should apply regarding hunting with it.

I could see it being useful to disabled archery hunters.
