Mazama Bears
« on: July 07, 2016, 10:17:56 AM »
Went camping last weekend in Mazama, saw two separate bears a few hundred yards out of camp on the hillsides. Both boars from my guesstimate. It was great to be able to watch them eat and wander about a little bit. The boy got to watch one with me for about 30 minutes before dusk finally pushed its way in. He walked along a cliffs edge sniffing the breeze from the camps below, then resided to standing and eating some berries on a bush.

Watching bears has to be a favorite past time of mine. What a treat it is.

I also love watching bears. They have so much personality
I hunt, therefore I am.... I fish, therefore I lie.

I've never gotten bored watching bears
As long as we have the habitat, we can argue forever about who gets to kill what and when.  No habitat = no game.

Why is that? Pull the trigger afterwards? ;)

Right on. I see bears up there all the time as well. Were you in 218 or 231 GMU?
