"Cell Phone" pistol holsters?
« on: June 19, 2016, 10:13:52 AM »
Does anyone have any experience with this style of pistol holster?  I've tested a variety of in IWB holsters and they don't seem to work for me as I have a smaller waist (32/33"). I have a Kahr P9.

Some examples are:

Sneaky Pete - http://www.sneakypeteholsters.com/kahr-cm9-sneaky-pete-holster-belt-clip/

Holster Mate - http://www.walmart.com/ip/36321991?wmlspartner=wlpa&selectedSellerId=0&adid=22222222227024718703&wl0=&wl1=g&wl2=c&wl3=52450038431&wl4=&wl5=pla&wl6=84015247631&veh=sem

Thanks for your input.

My father has a sneaky Pete. It works but if you also have a smartphone, knife etc I think you'll start looking like a batman utility belt. I think it sticks out but nobody seems to notice both his smart phone and it...

A friend of mine got a Sneeky Pete for his LC9 and it seems big to me, but I highly doubt anyone would ever peg it as a holster.

I ended up going with the Bulldog vertical case.

My gun, Kahr P9 with finger tab magazine, fits perfectly with 1/4" to spare at the top.  The single magnet holds the cover on tightly but is easily opened.  It comes with a belt loop sewn in as well as a metal belt clip. I've worn it a few times and my only complaint is that the clip adds about 1/2" of flop to it so I use the loop which keeps it closer to my hip.  This makes it so it cannot be taken off easily while driving.  The only other problem is that the belt loop needs to be a half inch to an inch higher on the case so the center of gravity is a little lower as it really wants to lean out.

I actually noticed one other issue, because the belt loop is too low, it centers on the magazine release and I have had the magazine loose twice now pulling it out of the holster.   :(
