Best sonar map chip
« on: July 12, 2016, 05:10:34 PM »
I have the lowrance elite-5 chirp and need to get an SD card with all the PNW maps on it.  Currently, it has some pre-loaded lake maps on it, but not very many.  It has Banks lake, but not Roosevelt.  So im looking for detailed depth contours and mapping.  What does everyone else use?  Best one out there?  And go...

Thanks

I have the Navionics chip, it's about 6-7 years old now. It's better than the Lowrance maps already loaded on your machine. Like I said my chip is older, Navionics may have some updated maps and more detail on their newer versions. Do I regret the purchase? No, like I said map detail is better than the preloaded software on your Lowrance.

I use a Navionics HD card and it has good details for Moses, Banks and the Potholes.  Haven't used it yet on Roosevelt or any other lake than the 3 I mentioned.

It was in my Helix the time we fished Moses.

If you guys are willing could you specify the chip number?

I've looked at 638 which is the puget sound, wondering if that is enough.

The navionics free iphone app is pretty useful.

TIA
