2016 Pink Boat Chronicles
« on: March 27, 2016, 05:58:47 PM »

This weekend the wife and I had none of the kids around so we headed out by ourselves . Saturday afternoon she said why don't you go fishing for a while. She chose not to go said she would stay and read. I found a lake open year round and so I went to see what it was like.

Nice quiet lake a few cabins on the shore but pretty much to my self had a few cars running up and down on the road. The weather was a Blustery the wind was blowing but not awfully cold. I rigged up a rod with some of the Walmart super bait in the Styrofoam cup. Hurled it out and waited.

Pretty much nothing for about an hour then I had a hit!!! Swing and a miss. Guess that's why they call it fishin. Reloaded and put it back in the same area and got ready again.

Maybe 20 minutes later I got another bite. This time it stuck. I had a Cutt on the lawn. Reloaded and pretty much same place and had another. It took about 30 minutes to put all 5 fish on the lawn

Looking forward to giving it another try on return trip.

I normally don't post much with photos but these are just too pretty!!!

For reference the cutting board is 19 inches across

Right wing shooter, I aim for the left!!!

Nowhere in your incoherent rambling did you come close to what can be considered a rational thought. Everyone is now dumber having heard it. I award you no points and may God have mercy on your soul.

Nice! I love Cutts. Try a perch colored floating Rapala! It's a cutt slayer.

I have not made any post's in here but have still been fishing.
This last weekend I was going to go fish for wally's and Northern's. I was getting the boat ready to head out yesterday and I have a pickup drive into the yard. It's my hunting buddy and his Grandson they had been camping in the woods for the last couple of days and where headed home. I asked the young fella if he had time to go do some fishing. He convinced Grampa. So we got hooked up and I chose to go to a higher percentage trip. I have been fishing kokanee and trout for the last several weeks and might have them figured out better than a wally run.

So off we charge, A nice day sunny calm going to be perfect. Once we got on the water the weather sort of turned a bit worse. I thought this was the middle of July and not a winter steelhead run. We had rain, Hail, some thunder and lighting in the distance and finally a bright sunny finish. Temps dropped you could see your breath. 3 of us in summer clothes. If I had known the weather I would have pitched the heater in.

But fishing was good. Watching a 12 year old jumping out of the cover to grab a rod and having him crank the fish in was worth all of the bad weather. He was from rod to rod and stuck it out we had to keep hauling him back inside.

I asked if he was going to bring his sister back to fish and he wasn't sure he said he will be back though.

Thank you, It has become a challenge to see how fast I can put 5 in the boat. It takes longer to hook up the boat and get it in the water than it does to catch them.

Fishing them 2 weeks prior it was using the same bait speed rigs I went 4 cuts and a koke one day and the next was 4 kokes and a cut. Guess that's why they call it fishin.
