I have not made any post's in here but have still been fishing.
This last weekend I was going to go fish for wally's and Northern's. I was getting the boat ready to head out yesterday and I have a pickup drive into the yard. It's my hunting buddy and his Grandson they had been camping in the woods for the last couple of days and where headed home. I asked the young fella if he had time to go do some fishing. He convinced Grampa. So we got hooked up and I chose to go to a higher percentage trip. I have been fishing kokanee and trout for the last several weeks and might have them figured out better than a wally run.
So off we charge, A nice day sunny calm going to be perfect. Once we got on the water the weather sort of turned a bit worse. I thought this was the middle of July and not a winter steelhead run. We had rain, Hail, some thunder and lighting in the distance and finally a bright sunny finish. Temps dropped you could see your breath. 3 of us in summer clothes. If I had known the weather I would have pitched the heater in.
But fishing was good. Watching a 12 year old jumping out of the cover to grab a rod and having him crank the fish in was worth all of the bad weather. He was from rod to rod and stuck it out we had to keep hauling him back inside.
I asked if he was going to bring his sister back to fish and he wasn't sure he said he will be back though.
