Best of luck. Following along...I know you and the crew know that area well, but if you want to pick my brain and get my deepest and darkest secrets about that area just PM me..been hunting it since 96 and have my share of steep and deep holes where the Goliath's roam. Got home to a couple presents on the door step this afternoon :IBCOOL:  Added a few more Rad Ticons to the arsenal and my new boots got here already!  Scarpa kenisis pro gtx.  Ive always been a 10" mountain boot kind of guy so we will see how I like these.  May make the cut, may not.

found em for cheap on Amazon.  Prime put em here in 2 days :IBCOOL:  like I said, I'm a bit nervous as I've always ran a stiff, high top mountaineering boot.  I'm always down for trying new gear though

I bought a pair of kinesis pros from lathrop and sons in december. Couple scouting  trips on them and im really liking  them so far other than hot feet in the summer  weather. I like this size of boot until it i get into deep snow.

Thank you!  Good to know.     Yeah they will be an early to mid season boot only.  The Lowa's and the meindl's will come out for the later seasons

Oh man tell me about it!  Not only have I been buying some stuff, but my good buddy Jeremie is the opposite of a gear junkie, but needs to upgrade a bunch of stuff.  He gave me his credit card info, a basic list of stuff he needs like shelter, backpack, sleep pad, sleeping bag, etc. and said go nuts :chuckle:  Hence the reason I was running a new duplex hunter frame with kyrptek DT1 :IBCOOL:  Everything ships to my house so I can inspect (play with) it :chuckle:

Tagging along for the epic ride. Congrats on the draw and good luck my friend.   Sorry to hear about your dog.   Saw it on Facebook and she looks just like my dog Remi.  Hope she gets well soon.

I grabbed the tac duplex with the DT1 bag and guide lid a few months back and wow.  Packing gear has never been easier.  Cant wait to get it bloody.  Its stuffed w scouting gear for the am as we speak.  I put way more than I ever carry so well see.

Yeah Im still running the kenetreks Mountain boots from a few years back and might not be able to live without the still sole and ankle support.  But they are a pain on the gravel roads I walk in on to hunt.  Just need them to get off the road.

Sounds like a pretty cool shopping trip! Those boots look like they'll handle all you can dish out til the flakes fly...and could keep going w/gaiters. Wore through a number of high top boots. Then found a niner that I love. Lighter, plenty of support under up to 80#s. Loving the spirit of this thread.
