I don't think you can find many places in Wyoming where you won't see a deer or antelope all day without looking. I don't know anything about the place you are headed, but you have the right idea. Use the GPS and spend 1-2 days just driving the unit and noting where the animals are. Most likely, you will find a couple of hot spots that you can focus on. As mentioned, don't overlook small areas, I did well in two different units on a piece of ground that was a fraction of a section.
Also, check walk-in areas, if you have Onx, they will show up. You can also look into the reservation system or landowner phone number list on the WY website.
The animals were in good shape this year, the goats we shot were crazy fat when I cut them up. 90+ % of antelope does had twins and the mule deer looked good too. The hardest part of filling the doe tag was finding a lone doe without fawns.
