The weather can get a bit dicey in Calgary during Stampede.  I lost a nice 1970 Mach 1 in Calgary one year when a hail storm went through and beat the glass out of every vehicle in the parking lot and turned the sheet metal into something resembling a golf ball.

I felt like a one legged cat trying to bury a terd on a frozen pond!

Calgary is a rodeo marathon.

My wife wants to go someday too, I'm thinking in a couple years that we will take my nephew along and all head out on a road trip.  Calgary is ~ the second week of July, we never miss Stampede week in Omak and that is the second week of August, and no rodeo fan in the northwest wants to miss Ellensburg on Labor Day, Pendelton is only ~ a week or week and a half later and I don't know anyone who could hang w/me when I was single and would start w/Sisters the second week of June.
