Checkering??
« on: February 05, 2009, 07:20:50 PM »
My dad and I have been building a new super grade walnut rifle stock for my Ruger #1. The butt stock is near completion and looking very sharp. The fore end is not quite done yet, it still needs a good 3 or 4 hours of detail. I'm debating weather I want checkering on it or not. Its something that I am not confident in trying myself on this particular stock. Anyone do or know someone reputable that can do it? And, any ideas what it might cost?
Thanks
MS

I'll post up a few pics tomorrow of our progress.
