So any word on when we should find out? Hopefully this week?

Nope.  No commitment whatsoever from "Dave".  I'm betting on next week at the earliest.
It will be announced this week.

Go ahead.  Rub it in my face!  Sheesh!

Does anyone know how many people applied for the deer permit this year?

Can these be purchased from home online ?  is that a possibility ? I already have my deer but an elk would be nice lol .

I don't think so.  The vendor has to physically take your elk tag from you before WDFW lets them print out the ms tag (my understanding).  There is the case where you could buy an elk license and not declare your tag until later, but I don't know if that allows you to apply for ms in the first place.  If you could, then in theory you could buy the ms online.

Smart of them to not sell multi deer till two minutes later, dill weeds bought deer last year at noon and ruined it for the guy behind them trying to get an elk tag.
wow like the guy really wanted to screw someone out of a tag. What a dill weed thing to say.
my cousin was behind the guy, and my cousin was 2nd or 3rd in line, didn't get his multi elk because some dill weed just had to buy his deer permit while the rest of the state was waiting in line for the elk.  He just couldn't wait 5 minutes to get a permit that never sells out, that's just stupid. And just like this year, we know there is no reason to hurry for the deer tag.
Yep, that's why we live in a free country. First come first serve.

How is that guy the dill weed he was before his cousin? Last year was the first year they offered it OTC so all the deer guys didn't know what was going to happen.  :cryriver:

I think the number was over 13K, but don't quote me on that.

Great, that's just great. Kinda bs. No chance for a working class man to have a chance at a tag now.
Woahhh now, not all of us working class men are on the monday-friday schedule   :P

So Elk tags will be gone instantly. However, with that many multi deer permits available will the remaining available be open to purchase for general population that DID NOT apply for a multi in the drawing?

My guess is no, but I guess there is a chance.
