Let's see: elk sell out in 30 seconds at $180, and deer never sell out at $140. Do we have any economists in the room?

Yes, we do.  But the more important question is this: "Are there any economists at WDFW?"

Elk Tags sold out in first minute - only 1 in 20 stores were able to make a sale......Even if you had got clerk to log on at 10:30:00 you only had a 1 in 20 chance..

Those were better odds than a WDFW draw.  But it didn't help my luck.  No elk season for me.  First time in 35 years.

That's what I get for thinking my points and Lorraine's good luck would change my annual outcome. :bash:  :chuckle: :chuckle:

No elk?! Well I hope you get a monster blacktail then.
Kindly do not attempt to cloud the issue with too many facts.

I got my tag but my brother forgot to buy a mutli-season app this year and they gave them a hard time at Fred Meyers saying he wasn't allowed to buy leftover tags.  I can't find anything on WDFW's website or on the email from WDFW saying that you needed to have applied in order to be eligible to buy the tag.  Anyone know any info?
Two of my buddies were able to purchase a deer ms. I didn't think they could but they both got em and I know they didn't put in for the drawing.

Will they lied because right on the screen before you are issued your tag asks you if you put in for the draw yes or no. It said you can not buy the tag unless you put in for it. They falsifted a government form.

erm...why does a multiseason tag determine if you gave an elk season

Something must have come up that he can't hunt the season for his tag.

I would guess he bought an eastside elk tag to apply for special permits, didn't draw, and now with no multi-season tag cannot hunt elk at all on the westside, and can only hunt spikes on the eastside.

Bobcat is right.  Tried to use my points to help the wife get an eastside bull tag with her multi-season elk.  She is definitely not going to waste her multi-elk on an eastside cow so we will be on the wetside where I can not hunt elk.

We knew the risk when we applied.  But I had high hopes I could find a clerk fast enough to get a multi-leftover.

As a consolation prize she is letting me have early archery deer to myself.  That will be the first time in 25 years.  So that is exciting!  I'm still trying to decide where I am going to spend my good fortune :chuckle:

I am surprised they wont sell me a leftover multi season tag since they have so many left, the clerk at the store pulled up my info and it showed that I was not eligible to buy one since I had not applied, so he pulled his own info up and he could buy one even though he too had not applied, seems like they would just want to sell them out, kinda weird if you ask me.
