Also found out one of them already has a warrant out for his arrest and one is running a bear bait in his back yard.  I'm sure if he is he has cleaned it up by now with all the Facebook talk.  The guy that caught them said fish and game and the cops are on it, they are well known poachers as well as thieves.
the guy that got his stuff messed with has a bear bait going

Do you mean he is baiting? Which is completely legal? Please be more specific. The attempt on Facebook to put the guy down failed. Let's see if we can flush it here as well.
PS are you one of the guys in the pictures?
by the pictrue looked like he over 10 gallons of food plave so that's not legit an no iam not

That's not bear baiting.

I don't think there are any limits on baiting unless you hunt the bait.

If I understand the rules correctly, unless a bear is shot at the bait or there is more than 10 gallons available within a 400 yard circle, baiting is legal for hunting deer or elk.

If there is more than 10 gallons of bait available within a 400 yard circle it's illegal to hunt deer or elk, but i think it would be legal to place trail cams for photos. I don't think you can hunt deer or elk within 200 yards if there has been more than 10 gallons of bait available to consume at once.

(the way I understand it was written this way to allow feeders that only put a small amount out at one time)

If anyone reads the rules differently or knows differently please correct me.

I can't imagine someone sticking up for these guys, this situation is obvious, no guesses.  These guys have been breaking the law for many years, and now they got caught red handed.  This is where if you know them all you can say is, yup, they screwed up and they will most likely do it again.  I wouldn't defend these guys with a 10' pole, it's just not going to work here.

Maybe he called and got permission  :chuckle:
To hunt and butcher an animal is to recognize that meat is not some abstract form of protein that springs into existence tightly wrapped in cellophane and styrofoam.

If trail cameras were outlawed this never would have happened.

Yea someone posted some of the pictures of garbage from the bait site.  So the owner of the site has some work to clean up the Manke timber property.

Owner of the camera claims the trash was planted there.

Is that cob in the top picture?
I've never used it and am not entirely sure what it looks like.

The first bait pile looks like it's been there for awhile, the rest of it looks pretty fresh, well from the pics anyways, that first pile looks like a bear bait to me :dunno:
