Sarge knives, anyone own one?
« on: August 01, 2016, 10:32:33 PM »
Noticed a local company selling knives that you put your own custom wood handles on. The brand is Sarge. Anyone know how good the steel is? Sounds like it could be a fun thing to do but don't want to waste my money on bad steel.

If you're in Seattle woodcraft down in Georgetown has some knife blanks from a few different companies. They have a kid down there who is pretty knowledgeable on the different manufacturers they carry and he teaches a class.

I picked his brain almost an hour one day and made a knife from one I bought there. I've been happy with the steel, just not my work lol. It's a lot of fun though and when you tell people you made it they always think it's cool.

I know that place! I'll try to swing in the next time I'm down there.
