Needs to be first come first serve in store and online as well. Shouldn't just be for the people that are able to take a couple hours off of work.

They should be redrawn and the redraw should be only open to those who entered and were not selected first time around.
That's been tried. The same situation occurs where some who are drawn do not purchase the permits, resulting in left overs again. First come, first served resolves that never-ending cycle.

They just need to make the second round drawing pre-purchase.  Re-imbursement if not drawn

Gives everyone who is serious about purchasing a fair shake at getting one.

:yeah: you just end up having 10 redraws.

A second redraw of those who didn't get drawn the first time around and then that is it.  Any that people don't pay for just don't get sold.

:yeah:. I wish it was prepay for the first draw too.  Get rid of all the tire kickers and increase odds for those of us who actually desperately want a tag!

If WDFW is closed today and tomorrow (last 2 days you can buy the multi season) and you have purchased a tag before drawing multi and now want to surrender your tag and buy multi you are hozed.

K, you are NOT "hozed"! I just now called the after hours number that Oh Mah provided, talked a representative and she took my info, told me someone will call me back tomorrow when office hours are open and that I am OK. As long as you call in to this after hour number before midnight tonight you can still purchase your multi-season tag! Like I said, I literally just did. Phew!
Anybody get a call back yet?

The Reg.s page 8, z Please note that if you purchased your license and tag
before you were selected, your general season tag must
be surrendered before a multiple season tag can be
purchased.
z If selected, multi-season tags will be available to
purchase any time prior to August 1.
z Permits not purchased by successful applicants by August
1 may be sold to non-selected applicants on a first-come,
first-served basis.
I just tried to buy mine and the game Dept. said someone is giving out miss information about them on sale today. They said keep checking the web site.
This information you bring up came out after the draw did it not? What i was told was that the stores told a lot of people that they had to buy the tags first, that is where the problem is-----------plus that they waited until the last day.

While that be a logical approach, (a) WDFW is not going to forego the chance to sell all the available multi-season permits at $140+/each, and (b) WDFW is not going to incur the additional trouble and expense of modifying the system to require pre-payment, processing the pre-payments, determining who is due a refund, and processing/mailing the refunds. It’s simpler to turn it over to the dealers to sell the remaining permits on a first-come, first-serve basis.
