So you can use a .380 pistol as long as it isn't modern firearm deer or elk season? And I can use my .308 rifle to hunt grouse even if it is modern firearm season as long as I have a deer tag as well?
what im getting from that, is that as long as it is deer or elk season, you can shoot a grouse with a .380 pistol. or a .308 rifle as long as you have a deer or elk modern tag..

This law makes perfect sense. It's obviously just in case a hunter mistakes a deer for a grouse, at least they will still have the right tags.

Ruger Super Blackhawk Hunter 44 mag. I shot him in the neck with a 300 grain Hornady XTP pushed by 19 grains of H110.

Did you get full penetration, and a good blood trail for tracking? What was the weight retention?  :tung:

I've thought about using my new-ish 460 S&W, think it'll kill em? J/K, actually I worked up some good shot loads for it for grouse, just for something different. This is at 7 yards, I think it'll do.

Haha complete pass thru but no blood trail. Yeah that looks like it'll get the job done.

I farthest shot with my judge I have taken about 35 ft. Worked just fine.

Trying to get a shot at one with my Bond this year.

You have to remember there was a pretty good chance you would get dressed down verbally if you had a rifle in the front seat of the pickup or were walking in the woods with a rifle outside of a big game season.  It was "illegal" to carry a pistol bow hunting a few years ago.....  Bad law.

This law makes perfect sense. It's obviously just in case a hunter mistakes a deer for a grouse, at least they will still have the right tags.
