So I'm heading out to AZ next month for my first actual Mule deer hunt. Going on a solo trip for 5 days of OTC archery hunting in the hot desert. The area I scouted has an awesome Mt range that you could glass for weeks and still not see it all. Planning on packing up to the top and glass till I find something legal to stalk with my bow. I've been listening to a few hunting podcasts and they all say, you will be waaaay better off mounting your Binos on a tripod for glassing. Never tried it, but I got myself all set up and ready to go! Can't wait.. My Binos are a very nice pair of Bushnell Elite 10x50's and they are on a super cheap tripod that my dad gave me years ago and ordered a bino tripod adapter off of amazon for like $20.00. It's actully quite sturdy and the head pans super smoothly. I got it all put together today and it's really solid and nice! Can't wait to try it out next month. Anyone else ever mount there Binos on a tripod for glassing? Any advise for success is always appreciated!
