Looks like I won't be making it out for a couple of weeks. trying desperately to wrap up some home remodel work before deer/elk starts so I don't have any issues with the wife and me leaving for a week+.

I know of 1 dead bear today. Not sure if it will be posted or not.

" In today's instant gratification society, more and more pressure revolves around success and the measurement of one's prowess as a hunter by inches on a score chart or field photos produced on social media. Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield

Same here. I went low instead of high and seen plenty of bear crap but it was a week old or more. I was out with the family picking berries yesterday and seen a bear in a meadow about 4400 ft in berries. I would have went high today if I didn't have my dad along.

Heard two rifle shots at about 6:08 this morning.  We will see if it gets posted.  Been seeing multiple bears in this location.
Cut em!
It's not the shells!  It's the shooter!

I made a half hearted effort this morning. Started at first light and covered some areas where the blackberries are getting ripe. Didn't see much of interest besides one doe and a small buck. By 10:00 it was too warm for me so I called it a day.
