I really like first lite gear but can't handle the seam they put right down the middle of the ol' crack.  Might as well be wearing a thong.  Worst place for a seam in my opinion.  My daily wear and hunting wear are the adidas climalite boxer briefs.  They are polyester blend.  Don't ride up, seams in good spots, good support, and hold up well.  Don't hold the stank too bad either, especially for a synthetic.

SMARTWOOL! Synthetics stink after half a day, and cotton (champions) get wet and stay wet. Smart wool boxer briefs are well worth the price tag. I use them for backcountry skiing, backpacking and, hunting, etc... I bought a couple pairs 3 years ago and they have no holes and I wash them in the washing machine like everything else.

This comment brings up a good point.  I wash all my merino in the washer, but air dry all of them.  I am not sure if that prolongs life, but I read it early on in my investment in merino

I have worn the champions around the house and to work. Still a little unsure on how well they will perform on extended use trips since they are 50% cotton.
I also just got done wearing the exos on a three-day scouting trip. These things are great & plan on ordering a few more and using these exclusively for my hiking and hunting underwear. Highly recommended.

Just bought some Jinshi under drawers, 95% bamboo. It's supposed to be like wearing lotion. I'll give y'all a review in a week or so.

I couldn't get used to the seams in the butt & how they breathed.  They have been relegated to house undies.
I don't want to wear anything but the exofficio now. Ordered 6 more.

I originally thought the ex-officios were unbeatable until I bought 6 pair of ice breader merino boxer briefs for $10 a piece. So far they win every catering except durability and that will be decided when they get a few more miles on them. Definately a "cooler" feel when hiking and seem to stay down better..........
