Remington 700 trigger adjustment
«

After three seasons of a seriously stiff trigger pull (like 5lbs+) I decided that it was time to try my hand at adjusting the trigger. Turns out it was way easier than I anticipated, and my gun is such a pleasure to shoot now. Just adjusting the trigger has made my accuracy so much more consistent also. I had developed a pretty serious flinch that I really had to concentrate hard to get rid of and now I just breath and touch the trigger when I'm ready to send one down range. Highly recommended for anyone with a stiff trigger and a little mechanical know how. The link below does a pretty good job of laying out the process.

I love playing with the simple stuff on my own weapons. It's amazing what you can do to most factory or used guns with some sandpaper and a small file set from Lowe's or home depot. I've found YouTube to have some pretty good info out there as well.

My 700 had the worst trigger I had ever used so I bought a timmeny drop in and it is amazing now. Did you polish your trigger also or just reduce pull.

All my 700's are set to 3#. Have a mod 70 that is at 5#. 5# is not a problem if it breaks smooth and you practice trigger control.
