Planting crops now...
« on: August 23, 2016, 01:09:48 PM »
Due to life, my dad and I have been put behind the 8-ball getting our duck property prepared for waterfowl season. We just finished up getting a nice 3-4 acre piece of land that will be flooded come hunting season prepared for planting. My question is this:

Any good crops to plant that could serve to attract ducks, geese, pheasants and deer that could do anything with a relatively short growing season left? We applied a heavy dose of Round-up to knock down the canary grass growing in the pond then disc-ed it up. My initial plan was to see how much smartweed would naturally regenerate but figured it was worth a shot seeing if there was a quick growing crop we could get in the ground.

Thanks

Buckwheat?
We must reject the idea that every time a law's broken, society is guilty rather than the lawbreaker. It is time to restore the American precept that each individual is accountable for his actions.
