Trapping Bait Test
« on: August 06, 2016, 12:30:31 PM »
I have created a couple of new baits and was wondering if anybody was willing to try them out. I'm looking for honest feed back and will send a 8 oz jar to who ever is interested. The first is a anise base bait for coons, I know they aren't worth much right now but if you do ADC work give it a shot. The other is a smoked fish bait nothing fancy and yes there are plenty of them out there already. If anybody has helpful info for me or have tried there own methods of bait making let me hear.

I'm interested.
Are you letting adc/wco trappers try them for free? Or are you wanting us to buy them?

Its free just would like others input back on the bait. Its sometimes hard to be honest with yourself when you make a bait or lure. Let me know which one or both you would like to try. Not sure how many I will give out for testing.

I will be trying to make it out to the Washington State Trappers Association Rendezvous on the 13th. I have a few WCO jobs to take care of around that time. If I'm able to make it out for that day I can hand deliver the baits to whoever has requested them. If I can't or that person can't I will send by mail again free of charge. Send Email to bigbadwolfwdc@gmail.com so we can arrange delivery of bait.

I'm still in testing period for these two baits and wouldn't feel comfortable to have people pay for something not thoroughly tested. I have several baits and lures that I have been testing and will offer some others later in the future. If I do receive positive feedback on them I will look at giving WSTA baits and lures that they can auction.

Mike,
I have a list of field testers that I can give you if you want to contact them.  I ran an ad in our newsletters a while back and ask the same question if anybody was interested in becoming a field tester.  If you want the list send me a PM and I'll give you their names.  You can contact them and ask them if their interested and will give you a honest feedback on your lures.

Well, I made it out to the rendezvous on the 13th. I was able to get bait to one guy but was not able to locate anybody else.  :sry: I didn't get there until 10 AM, but for those who have asked if you still would like to try some PM me.
