Hard to say what really happened.  I will say the way that "story" was told, it sure brings up more than a few questions.  Almost seems as though someone let the cat out of the bag by showing pictures off, and then some story fabrication had to take place.

I personally know the gentleman who found the stolen rack. He's as honest as they come. He spotted the rack in some blackberry bushes near the Enumclaw fairgrounds about three weeks ago while on his usual dog walking route. He didn't think about taking the rack at the time because he assumed it was something that had been poached and someone had stashed it. After seeing it sitting in the same spot for three weeks he decided to take it home. His son took pictures of the rack and sent them to a few friends in the area who immediately recognized it as the one that had been stolen. Contact was made with the rack owners brother who then came to retrieve it. The finder deserves a ton of credit for what he did and as far as I know he hasn't received a call from the owner of the rack nor has he received a reward that was offered. Hopefully he gets some token of appreciation especially considering that he could have sold that rack for a pretty penny to someone outside the area.

That's great that he found it and returned it. He should be happy knowing that his good deed lets this guy rest easy knowing he has his trophy back.  A reward would be icing on the cake, but the good has already been done.

Honest as they come, but broke the law by taking home the skull with antlers attached ( which he also suspected was poached and hid there).    Hmmmm.

I would think he would've just called fish and game.

This is why I was hoping this one would just die.  Now that there is more to the story the guy is getting questioned.  What the heck?  How he got them back really isn't important, the fact that he got them back is what counts.

Given a choice I am sure he would rather have them back with a stranger than fiction story than not have them back and know for a fact that someone made knife handles out of them.
Pain is temporary, achieving the goal is worth it.

I didn't say it would be easy, I said it would be worth it.

There is no questions or any concerns he tried calling fish and game numerous times he said. There was no story fabrication or anything of that sort. The person who found it is a good honest person who iv known along time and know his kids really well. Maybe you should believe what was posted and just go with what was said which is the truth. As far as questions what's your questions we can probably all get together so you can ask the finder and ask the real owner of the horns... I'm sure that can be arranged if you would like. Other then that I THINK THIS THREAD IS OVER AND CAN BE DELETED...
Boom boom boom...

I just think it's a little suspicious.  That's all.   Your internet tough guy bs isn't going to work with me.   Yelling at the end isn't going to make this go away any faster either.  Lol

Antlers found, story told, end of the story.
This one is locked.
