quick reloading

Are there any tricks to reloading quickly with loose powder?  I've only ever used pellets but want to try loose powder this year.  Do you have a little funnel that you use, or are there speed loaders designed for powder.  Thanks for any tips.

Speed loaders work well, that's what I have used. I just pour the powder carefully with out a funnel.
I felt like a one legged cat trying to bury a terd on a frozen pond!

Yes the normal speed loaders work fine with powder. The only ones That I have seen that don't seem to like powder is the roto cylinder models/speed loaders.

I would get the speed loaders with the bullet sleeve and that will save you some time and helps start your bullets.

These are pretty sweet it's what I use for all my pre weighed charges and the cap fits really snug

I've been hunting with the smoke pole since 86. I have used used several loaders, and by far the Thompson Center 4 in 1's have been the best for me.  Good luck!

Thanks for all the input.  I guess I just need to experiment a bit and see what works for me.  I had a heck of a time trying to pour the powder into the barrel with speed loaders I have.

These are what I have been using for a lot of years too. Best speed loader out there in my opinion. Work great! The only time I have trouble pouring powder is after I shoot an elk and am loading again just in case I need a second shot. Then the adrenaline has kicked in and I'm a bit shaky!

I like Lane's Powder tubes. If you do a search you will see he sells on ebay or has links on most muzzleloading sites. Same principal as a speed loader
