Cold Weather Socks
« on: August 09, 2016, 07:42:57 AM »
I often hunt in very cold weather (stand hunting) and have used the usual heavy wool socks over a polyester sock liner with 400 gram thinsulate boots. This works ok but my feet still get cold sometimes. Any suggestions for a better warmer sock?  (non electric) If you still prefer wool, what brand do you like?  Thanks

If you have some kind of Alaska Pac-type snow boot, use those with some foot warmer packs. Bigger boots don't make any difference stand hunting. Be comfortable.

Haven't found a sock yet that will keep my feet warm when sitting a stand or glassing. My feet are messed up from rheumatism real bad so the heat makes a huge difference for me when out in the woods.
