I am innthe same boat. To figure out if I want sitka or kuiu. I've got a sitka duck hunting jacket it and really like it, other than the fact it's to big for me now. I looked at sitka the other day at sportco and really like it, I think the new camo pattern they came out with is really slick. I'm pretty sure I'll be going with sitka, I have a hard time getting something I can't lay hand on before purchase and kuiu is only from the main office...

I felt the fit wasn't right more me being 6'1.  The inseam in the pants wasn't long enough for my preference.  Good quality stuff though.

Strange I'm 6'4" and all my pants fit great.

Same.
I did buy tall sizes, but that's that.
My stuff all fits me great and is durable. I did look at the new Shooter gloves the other day and the XL's wouldn't fit on my hands. Not sure if there's such a thing as XXL.

Sitka is worth it, only a few items that I wouldn't buy from them. Rain gear is at the top of that list. Dew point because it rips if you give it a mean look. The rest because it is overpriced. The Sitka Ascent jacket is one of my favorite pieces of hunting clothing ever. Sitka flows through the bargain cave too so that's a bonus.

That said, Kryptek, First Lite, and even (gulp) KUIU have great stuff too. If you're not all consumed with matching colors then shop around and piece it together.
Kindly do not attempt to cloud the issue with too many facts.

I like KUIU a little better but the inventory issues really turned me off. I have a lot of both lines and really love it. I swore I'd never buy that "space age crap" but I'm a believer now. The Ascent pants are so freaking comfy I can't believe it. LOL.

I used to wear out a pair of cotton pants every season and god forbid you get cotton wet! So like someone else said if you add up the cost of the $50.00 cotton pants that you shred year after year and the other gear that you simply wear out this new high end stuff begins to really make sense because it lasts forever.

I have been able to pick up most of my sitka gear on sale from places like MidWayUSA, Kenetrek boot company and Diggs Outdoors.  Post hunting season has been the best time to find good deals.  PM me if you want recommendations and opinions on specific pieces.

I've recently bought a few pieces of Sitka gear lightly used on the forums and so far I think the stuff is pretty awesome.. I'm 6'3 about 205lbs and fits me just fine so far..
I don't think I'd pay new prices for the stuff, but shop around the hunting forums and you'll find some pretty good deals!
