Bad Craigslist Deal
« on: August 14, 2016, 08:58:07 PM »
Hello all today I bought a layout blind and some goose she'll decoys off of Craigslist and we found the heads the seller gave us do not fit the shell decoys. Lesson learned. No I'm trying to figure out what we have.. Do you know what these flocked heads woud fit on? Also what shells these are so we know what replacement heads to buy? They have no markings on them other than "made in China" around where the head would screw in.. Thank you

The shells look like higdeons. They have the smaller hole for the head so they look like the wobblers. My guess. The first pic of the head is also a higdeon but it's the head with a bigger base.

I maybe totally wrong and Colin maybe right but to me they looked like GHG shells. The heads kind of remind me of some old Flambeau shell heads I had.

They look like Flambeau's to me.  I believe that I have a set of those somewhere.

Call the guy back....maybe he got the heads mixed up and now he has a set that doesn't work either.

It may be that many manufacturer's use the same style connections, but my GHG floaters are the same style as those shells and my GHG full bodies are the same style as those heads.

I could easily be wrong. Maybe take a body into cabelas and try a couple heads from different manufacturers?

I contacted the guy and he still hasn't got back to me... With some more research I'm beginning to think they are GHG hot buy shells.. I'm going to be heading to a cabelas soon and trying on heads if they let me and have replacements
